Kamau is an experienced analyst and strategist who has advised many business and political leaders in government, civil society and private sector. He has also worked as Director of Executive Education at the Strathmore Institute of Public Policy and Governance designed and delivering public policy training to senior executives in Kenya’s public sector. Before founding Lotus Consulting, Kamau worked for McKinsey & Co. He is also a contracted columnist for a Kenyan national newspaper commenting on current political and policy matters.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nairobi and an MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford. He is currently pursuing a PhD in African Studies at the University of Edinburgh.
Keldine is a trained and experienced actuary with excellent capabilities in big data analytics, financial modelling, economic, market and business analysis, statistical analysis. Previously, he worked as an Actuary at Britam and UAP, leading insurance companies in the East African region. Keldine is a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK). He holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi. Keldine is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Data Science and Management at the university of Leuphana, Luneburg, Germany.
Veselina is a seasoned manager with a background in strategy consulting, business development and economic research. Before heading the Kenya office of Oxford Business Group’s business intelligence and publishing operations, Veselina managed research projects in Ghana, Mongolia, Malaysia and Indonesia. In her earlier career, she spent time in Germany, France and Bulgaria working in a wide variety of sectors and functions, including consulting roles with companies in the media and manufacturing sectors, a marketing role with Daimler AG and a business development role with Intel Inc. Veselina comes from an education background in economics with Bachelor studies in International Business at the University of Reutlingen, Germany, and an MBA in Business, Strategy and Entrepreneurship from EDHEC in Nice, France. She has also undergone additional training from the Dale Carnegie Institute, the Stellenbosch University of South Africa and the Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University.
Victoria is a public policy practitioner and development consultant. She has worked on projects spanning across various sectors including agribusiness, Africa-China policy and business exchange and most recently, education service delivery. She also supported the establishment of the first Sino-Africa think tank in Nairobi to explore the policy implications of China’s presence in Africa. Prior to joining Lotus Consulting, Victoria worked as a consultant developing a program for training Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers at the County Government level in Kenya. She has also worked with the World Bank where she spent time analysing education policies in Somalia. Her breadth of experience in politics, political economy and policy positions her strongly to work with governments and the private sector to develop and implement sustainable policies in Africa.
She earned her BA in International Relations from the United States International University – Africa prior to undertaking a Master of Public Policy at the University of Oxford – Blavatnik School of Government.
Mikewa Ogada is a governance consultant with over 18 years of experience in program design, program management support, program evaluation research, qualitative and quantitative research, capacity strengthening and grants management. He has consulted for civil society organisations, governments, funding partners and international development agencies in Kenya and in the region. Before joining Lotus, Mikewa previously worked for Adili Consulting Group, PACT , Kenya Human Rights Commission and the Smithsonian Institution’s Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars in Washington, DC. Mikewa holds a Master of Science Degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of North Carolina-Charlotte.
Mary Wanza – Kipkemoi, MSc, ACCA, CISA
Mary has considerable lecturing and field research experience. She has a keen interest in informal financial and insurance networks and financing for low income household. She has also consulted for PricewaterhouseCoopers Kenya, Kericho County Government, Grameen Foundation and Strathmore University Management. She holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi. And an MSc in Mathematical Finance from Manchester Business School. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Economic Anthropology
David Muruaru is a budding researcher with an interest in public policy, governance, international relations and public relations. He is a digital communications consultant with Adfoxx Media and also works with Lotus Consulting Limited as a graduate research assistant supporting data analysis and project writing. He has previously worked with the Centre for Human Rights and Policy Studies helping shape outreach as a communications intern. He also supported research projects through data collection, analysis and report writing. David contributes to debate through his commentaries which have appeared in the Daily Nation, The Star Newspaper and featured articles for the International Centre for Policy and Conflict, Sauti Kenya and Governance Pillar Organization. David majored in Political Science, Language and Communications at the University of Nairobi. In his spare-time, he is involved in youth projects in Thika Town and writes poetry as an expression. He takes long walks to unwind.
He has an extensive research background and significant experience producing and actioning profitable global market insights as a commodities analyst trading future on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Lotus Consulting.
Titus’ subject matter expertise includes macro-economic consideration, geopolitical insights and sectorial research and analysis leading to a holistic understanding of key subject matter.
He leads a group which focuses on serving Lotus local and multinational clients with interests in the Telecom, Finance, Travel Transport and Logistics and the Consumer goods industry.
George is a proficient operations profession. He has previously worked in various roles ranging from financial management, tax consulting to human capital management in different organizations in Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi and is currently undertaking a Master’s degree from Heriot Watt University.
Samuel is a Certified Public Accountant CPA (K) who adapts to constantly evolving accounting process and technology. He previously worked at Strathmore Business School as an administrator and has a wealth of experience in accounts, administration and human resource management. He is a graduate of Strathmore University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce.
